A Short History of Chrisland University
The National Universities Commission gave Chrisland University full accreditation after it was formally established in 2015. The university started operating earlier, but it didn’t get its complete operational license until September 17, 2015. It became a totally private institution in 2019.
Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola became the school’s first Vice-Chancellor in November 2017. This was a big milestone in the school’s academic path. On November 1, 2024, the Governing Council named Prof. Oyedunni Arulogun as the university’s second substantive Vice-Chancellor and second female VC. This change shows how dedicated the school is to having a variety of leaders and new ideas in the classroom.
