The Deeper Christian Life Ministry owns Anchor University, which is a private Christian school. It is in Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos State, Nigeria. The institution has been one of Nigeria’s most valued places for academic excellence and spiritual growth since the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) officially approved it in November 2016.
A Tale of Faith and Will
The idea for Anchor University began in 2012, but it ran into a big problem when the NUC inspection team, lead by Professor Celestine Onwuliri, was in the Dana Air disaster on June 3, 2012. Even though this terrible thing happened, the vision didn’t die. In 2013, construction started up again, and by 2014, the university was built. It is a true emblem of faith, hope, and hard work.
Faculties and Academic Programs
Anchor University has a lot of degree programs that will help students make a difference in the real world and become leaders. It has the following faculties:
- History, English, Christian Religious Studies, and French are all part of the humanities.
- Social and Management Sciences: Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Mass Communication, International Relations, Banking and Finance
- Biology, biochemistry, computer science, chemistry, physics, information technology, and other fields are examples of natural and applied sciences.
- LL.B. Law
- Architecture and Environmental Science
- Basic and related medical fields include nursing, anatomy, public health, and medical laboratory science.
Each faculty teaches students strong morals and ethics together with their academic subjects, which helps them develop strong values.
Requirements for Admission
To get into Anchor University, candidates must:
- Finish their high school education.
- Get at least 160 on the UTME.
- Get five credit passes in topics that matter, like English and Math, on the WAEC, NECO, or IGCSE tests.
But for subjects like English, French, and History, you don’t have to take math.
