The Origins and Current Site
Under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, the Federal University Wukari (FUW) opened its doors in 2011. This federal university was one of nine that Nigeria established recently. FUW has rapidly become a prestigious university in its time since its founding in Wukari, Taraba State. Its creation exemplifies Nigeria’s commitment to delivering high-quality education across the country.
Throughout the Years, Leadership
The first Vice Chancellor served from 2012 to 2016, and his name is Professor Geoffery Okogba. The academic framework and administrative organization were both laid out by him. Professor Abubakar Musa Kundiri (2016–2021) came after him, and he improved academic standards and gained certification for numerous courses. The FUW is now headed by the renowned veterinary expert Professor Jude Rabo. All of the programs, buildings, and student experiences are being enhanced by him.
