The History of Crescent University is one of vision, education, and making a difference in the community. Judge Bola Ajibola started the institution in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, under the Islamic Mission for Africa. From the inception, its goal has been to provide a good education based on discipline, character, and academic success. The Beginning of Crescent University

The idea for the school started in 2002 when the Educational Board of the Islamic Mission for Africa suggested building a private university. The National Universities Commission gave them the go-ahead in 2005, making their goal come true. That year, in December, Crescent University formally opened its doors to students. This started an academic tradition that is still growing.

Library of Alhaja Seliat Adebutu

The Alhaja Seliat Adebutu Library is one of the best places to find information on campus. Chief Kesington Adebutu built and gave the library in memory of his mother. It helps students learn by offering services including Technical Services, Readers’ Services, Serials, Reference, and an E-Library. Schools and Departments

Crescent University has programs in a number of colleges, such as the College of Law, the College of Environmental Sciences, the College of ICT, the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, the College of Arts and Social Sciences, and the College of Health Sciences. Mechanical engineering, sociology, computer science, economics, and more are some of the disciplines that these universities have. Students are encouraged to look into modern skills and certifications because there are so many programs to choose from. This is where ProCerts comes in handy. Requirements for UTME Admission

Candidates must have at least five credits in relevant areas, such as English and Math, from the SSCE, GCE, or NECO in order to be accepted. Applicants must also get a certain score on the UTME, fill out the university’s online screening form, and pass the interview stage.
